Marlborough Wine Trails

A wine trail is a fun and relatively cheap way to have fun in Blenheim. All you need is a vehicle and a sober driver... Or if you're brave enough you could rent a bicycle and bike the wineries. Most Vineyards let you taste for free or at a very small price. Most information centers in the area will have a wine trail map or you can get one online.

My favorite stop on the wine trail map is not actually a wine stop it is called prenzels and they sell a large range of Schnapps brandies and liquers, it also has vinaigrette and flavored oils and is always at the top of my priority list. The good thing for all the winos out there is that the prenzels building is attached to an award winning vineyard Mud House wines.

Even is you don't get the opportunity to do a full wine trail I highly recommend a stop at the Mud House village on Rapaura road. Just remember to take a sober driver!
