There are a few interesting things going on with NZ sport at the moment...
The NZ Basketball team (The Tall Blacks) have made history by beating the Aussie Boomers on their own soil. The fourth and final game of the Ramsay Shield was brought home today after a 79-71 win last night, I guess that's a great warm up for the World cup coming up in a month or so.
However the women's hockey team (The Black Sticks)didn't do quite as well as that at the World champs but also almost made history when they very nearly didn't score a single goal the whole tournament, but a goal in their last and final game same them the embarrassment of wining the title for first team ever to not have scored a single goal, phewf we are not that team.
Thirdly the Tri nations for rugby is on (NZ, Australia, and South Africa) and the All Blacks a looking good for cleaning up this competition, but I don't want to speak to soon.
